at the Horizon Casino Expo on Friday or Saturday

Triple Marathon pickups are on Thursday before the
buffet dinner.

Kayak and Swimmers pick up at the venue Friday

No Race Day registration on Sunday.

There is race day registration for the Kayak and
Swim on Friday at Lakeside Beach.

There is race day registration for Speed Golf at
Tahoe Paradise Golf Course at 8 AM on Friday.

Numbers that are not picked up at the expo will be
at each race start line.

You need to have a race number or spectator bus pass to the
board the shuttle buses.

The north bound lane from near Spring Creek north of
Camp Richardson is closed at 7 a.m. and reopens at 1:30 p.m.
-
The south bound lane is open but with race related
delays.
-
The finish line closes at 3:30 p.m. for all races
-
Runners who wish to use the shuttle buses must show
their race bib and shuttle bus ticket.

Bus tickets will be given at the expo when you
designate your bus pick up location for race morning.

Race numbers can be picked up at the expo Saturday
until 8:30 PM.

Your first name will be printed in large font on
your scenic race number if registered by September 1.

All events of the Triathlon can be entered as
an individual event (a la carte).

Race Wind Shirts will be passed out at the expo or the
finish line first come on a first come, first serve basis. But we will try to
have your size available at the expo. Late registered runners will draw from the
unreserved stash. If your size does not fit, you may exchange your shirt from the late registration stash if your size is available there.

Shuttle Bus schedules will be on the back of your
race bib.

No confirmations will be sent out. Confirm your entry

You must hand your photo ID
verifying your ID and age to pick up your race number.

No one else will be allowed to pick up your race
number except for Relay Captains.

Pick up your race number at the Sports
& Fitness Expo at the Horizon Casino Resort Saturday:9 am to 8:30 pm, Sept. 25th. (located 400 yards East of the state line on the south
shore Lake Tahoe.

Relay substitutions and event changes can be made
at the Horizon Casino Resort during the Expo for a $10 change fee.

Start line number pick ups will incur a $10
convenience fee payable in cash. (read volunteer party fund)

Relay teams may run with less than 5 runners.

It takes 5 to 6 weeks for your body to create
enough new red blood cells to become a "local", fully acclimatized to the altitude.

A 3 hour marathon runner will run the Tahoe
Marathon 6 minutes
slower than at sea level marathon with similar terrain and 12 minutes slower
for a 4 hour marathoner.

Aid stations are
located at: 2.5, 4.5, 6.4, 6.8, 8.5, 9.6, 11.0, 11.4, 13.6, 14.9,
15.3, 16.2,16.9, 17.1, 18.1, 19, 20, 21.7, 22.9, 24, 24.6 and 25.2. All will
serve water, most will serve Ultima, and snacks .

Yes, there will be shuttle buses from the Pope
Beach finish back to the Horizon with stops along the way.

A Pre Race shuttle bus leaves from Tahoe City
from in front of the Everygreen restaurant across from Commons Beach to the Half Marathon and 10K start lines.

The post race buses return to Tahoe
City at: 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00 and 3:30. Park your car at Camp Richardson
and take the shuttle to the start if you will finish after these times.

There are spectator buses for the Half and Full
Marathon
that travel the course for friends and relatives.

Spectators may join the spectator bus at the
marathon or half marathon start
lines rather than beginning at South Lake Tahoe.

Marathoners may drop off clothes at the 2.1 mile
aid station (Sunnyside Resort) and fish for them at the finish line.

There is an optional
VIP
Gourmet Brunch at the finish line. $20

Chartered buses will pick up Sunset Pasta Cruise
diners from the main entrance of the Horizon Casino Resort at: 4:40pm, and 5:05pm
and take them the 1.5 miles to Ski Run Blvd for boarding. Parking is limited at
the Marina.

If you signed up for the Marathon Walk or 20 Mile Walk you may run or walk
as
you please.

The half marathon runners or walkers start
together at
about 10:20 a.m.
-
10K walkers and runners start together
overlooking Emerald Bay at 8:50 a.m.
-
All Sunday events will have warm up bags delivered
back to the
finish line.
-
The post event shuttle will leave frequently from in front
of the finish area and will drop runners off along Hwy 50 at the closest point
to your housing on the way back to the host hotel, the Horizon Casino Resort.

There is a special shuttle bus that will go
between the free parking at the Y parking area across from the Tahoe Valley Post
Office to the entrance of Pope Beach for
the duration of the Marathon.

Finish Line parking is at Camp Richardson Resort
Camp Ground. Parking fee is $10.
- The Half Marathon Run starts at
about 10:20 for a
couple of reasons:
- 1) We wait until 20-30 of the first
marathoners go by the Half Marathon start. That way at the finish line, they are
not buried in hundreds of Half Marathoners. In other words when they cross the
finish line, it will be exciting.
2). The Half Marathon start area is in the shadows and can be very cold early in
the morning. No need to start early on our course and freeze in the early
morning starting line shadows.
