Alpen Sierra Coffee is just a few
blocks form Stateline into California at the corner of Pioneer Trail and Hwy
50.And
now is offering complimentary high-speed Internet service with an in-house
computer and wireless connection hub for travelers with their own laptop
computers at the company’s Stateline coffeehouse. Located at 3940 Lake Tahoe Boulevard (at the corner of
Highway 50 and Pioneer Trail), created a work area complete with a 2003 I-Mac
computer, Apple Airporter wireless hub and DSL high-speed Internet service.

Riva Grill (530-542-2600 for reservations) is on the lake at the bottom end of Ski Run Blvd at the Marina Village where the Tahoe Queen departs. About 1.5 miles from the Horizon. Great shops to visit with great food and views. A very nice place. Close to Fantasy Inn and across from Embassy Vacation Resort.
The Tudor Pub and Dory's Oar (530-541-6603) are also about 2 miles from the Horizon and a block away from the Shoreline Café. Upstairs English Pub run by real Englishmen. Downstairs excellent lunch and dinners.
The Rockwater Bar & Grill (on Highway 89 a.k.a. Emerald Bay Road) is on the way to the finish line at Pope Beach. About a mile and a half from the entrance to Pope Beach. Inside or outside dinning. This will be the Thursday night meeting place for the Ultra 3-day Stage Marathon. Come for lunch or dinner. A great place to meet after the run. The Beacon Bar & Grill (530-541-0630) is on the beach at Camp Richardson (Provides the 25.3 mile aid station) and just up the beach from the Pope Beach finish line. Have your friends wait there for you or meet them there after the run. You can walk back and forth on the beach to the finish line. It is also possible to have your boating friends pick you up on the pier at Camp Richardson and boat you back to anywhere on the lake. The Beacon serves all day long and has great dinners as well.
Old Tahoe Cafe (530-525-5437) at the 6.5 mile mark on the marathon course in Homewood. Watch the race go by while having breakfast or lunch. Get down there before the road gets bogged down.
Sunnyside Resort (530-583-7200) is the 2.5 mile aid station and is on the beach just south of Tahoe City and the start line of the Marathon. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner inside or out. Dine on the lakefront patio.
Rosie's Cafe (530-583-8504)in downtown Tahoe City. A great place for breakfast or lunch. The Marathon will start behind their building on the 3rd fairway of the Tahoe City Golf course. Also a good place for lunch if you take the Course Tour around the Lake on Saturday.
