as of August 9, 2011

The Friday Emerald Bay Marathon is from Emerald Bay to Spooner Lake-Hwy 28 to Incline Village intersection area. There is no lodging near or at the start area except for an 11 or so camp spaces across the street from the  start area. The first half of the run is in California and the second half is in Nevada.

The Saturday Cal-Neva Marathon is the fastest of the 3 marathons with the first 11 mile basically down hill. First half of the Marathon is in Nevada and the second half is in California.

The Friday and Saturday Marathons are each run basically half in CA and half in NV. Either of these races can be counted for either state in your quest to run all 50 states.

There isn't a spectator bus for either of these runs. Runners are responsible for post race transportation. Runners should have support crew driving the route to cheer, photograph, and feed you along the way.

You will running either of these two marathon with the  Triple Marathoners . There is a different finishers medals for each day, finishers license plate holders and wind shirts will be awarded. No age division or other  awards will be given.

Aid Stations: Like the Triple Marathoners, the Friday and Saturday Marathons will require you  to provide a support vehicle for yourself or to team with other runners to provide for your running needs. Aid stations are approximately every 5 miles. You will need transportation after the Friday and Saturday Marathons.

So now you can do a marathon on Friday, Bike on Saturday, and do another running event, including a relay on Sunday. Mix and match whatever interests you.

For both all 3 marathons shuttle buses will leave from the Horizon Resort Casino Race morning to the start lines. You will need to arrange your own transportation after the run.

A la carte Marathoners are invited to the Triple Marathon dinner on Thursday night. But dinner is not included. Pay at the door or just come in and listen.
