About the event

This boutique half marathon course starts from Carnelian Bay and ends at Meadow Drive & H89. Finish line is south of Homewood on the closed H89. Enjoy a chilling dip in the lake, a beer and a hotdog after you finish. The finish area is south of  Homewood. Your race starts  when the Cal Neva Marathoners pass through Carnelian Bay at 8:15 am. This race is limited to 100 a la carte runners and 200 runners doing the Trifecta (3 Half Marathons in 3-days)  You may run this race a la carte or as part of the Tahoe Trifecta and has a12:30PM  time limit. 

The Carnelian Bay Half is a al carte half marathon, and is the first of 3 half marathons and part of the 3-Day Trifecta and the California Half Series. Get credit for 3 half marathons in the California Half Series. Or  run it a la carte. Click on the link below.

The race starts from the Waterman's Restaurant parking lot.

5166 N. Lake Blvd., Carnelian Bay, CA. Live TV cam of our startlline at Waterman's Landing. The finish is at H89 at Meadow Rd just south of Homewood, CA.

If you do not ride the bus from So Lake Tahoe, park across the street from Waterman's Landing in public free parking. You can pick up your race number at the startline in Waterman's Landing. Do not park at Waterman's Landing.

 You will receive:​ 

  • All finishers get a beautiful finishers medal
  • All finishers get a license plate holder and a travel bag at the finish line.
  • All finishers get a beautiful long sleeve technical t-shirt at the  finish line, which will be great for you winter training runs.
  • The first man and women will receive an overall award.
  • Master's awards for first man and women (40+).
  • Medical attention and aid on the course and finish line
  • Shuttle bus service to the start are free
  • Ultima Replenisher for on-course and finish line drinks

Free Shuttle Buses will take you from the South Tahoe Transportation Center to the start line at  Waterman's Landing. Post race from the near Homewood finish line we have $15 shuttle buses back to South Lake Tahoe.

Last bus returns at Noon. Reserve ticket on line or bring cash to the finish line. If you finish after 12PM noon you will need your own transportation back.

TART has public buses that go back to Carnelian Bay at 7 minutes past the hour. You could actually park your car at the finish and take the bus to the back to the start at 7:07AM.
