Plumbing fixtures
Plumbing fixtures are devices or components that are installed in a plumbing system to control the flow of water and wastewater. They play a key role in distributing water to various parts of a building and removing waste. Some common types of plumbing fixtures include:
Toilets: Used for disposing of human waste and water.
Sinks: Used for washing hands, dishes, and other items. They can be found in kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms.
Showers: Fixtures used for bathing, often with a showerhead and a drain.
Bathtubs: Used for soaking or bathing, typically larger than showers.
Faucets: Devices that control the flow of water to sinks, bathtubs, and showers.
Urinals: Typically found in men's restrooms, used for urination.
Bidets: Fixtures used for personal hygiene after using the toilet, primarily for cleaning the lower body.
Water Heaters: Appliances that heat water for various plumbing systems.
Laundry Tubs: Sinks used specifically for washing clothes, often found in laundry rooms.
Each fixture is connected to a plumbing system that includes pipes, valves, and drains to ensure water flows where it’s needed and waste is properly removed. Let me know if you're looking for specific information on any of these fixtures or if you're planning a plumbing project!
That’s not how it’s supposed to be. But yeah, I guess you already figured that out. A lot depends on how your home is heated. But one way or another, you need to call in a plumber. I had problems with my furnace https://bens.plumbing/blog/how-to-fix-furnace-common-problems/, and from what that article says, the issues were pretty typical, nothing too crazy. I could’ve even tried fixing something myself, but I prefer to trust people who know what they’re doing better than I do.
