Sometimes the reasons for rejection seem strange in general. A friend of mine had his photo rejected because his nose shadow was too obvious! I never thought it was such a serious problem. I also know that you can't use selfies, even if the camera is good. The photo has to be taken straight from the front, no distortion. It's probably easier to go straight to a photo salon or use a service that checks all the parameters at once. At least you'll save some nerves.
